Inspiring Canopy Card

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Your card base is pre-scored halfway, and die cut with a horizon/ wave to create two separate pieces which you

will join back together using a piece of window sheet (1a). Assemble your card base: adhere the window sheet to

the straight/bottom edge of the smaller piece with approximately 1cm overlap (1b) – the width of Stampin’ Seal+

is about right –  then fold along the score line and add more adhesive to the wavy edge, folding it down onto the

window sheet, so that the window sheet is now enclosed within the folded piece (1c).

2. Take the larger piece of card base and fold along the score line. Run adhesive across the top edge on the front of your window sheet then lay it on the larger piece of card base, using the bottom edges to align. Press the flap down on top of the window sheet to stick. So now your card base is in one piece with a window in the front (2a).

3. Open the card up and attach the thin white strip (148mmx29mm) to hide the window sheet edge, slightly away from the fold (if you stick it too close to the fold the card will feel bulky to close).

4. Adhere your pre-cut trees to the front of the card.

5. Completing the inside: Fold your white card inner along the pre-scored line and adhere the back inside the card base, ensuring it is placed slightly away from the fold so that it closes nicely and isn’t bulky.

6. Adhere your piece of DSP to the front of the closed inner, so that when the completed card is closed, the DSP is visible through the window sheet.

7. Open both the card and inner and adhere the Merry Merlot layering piece inside.

8. Take the smaller white layering piece (12.8cm x 9cm) and stamp a tree trunk in Soft Suede on the right hand side and then stamp a tree top in Old Olive over the trunk. Adhere this piece on top of the Merry Merlot layer.

9. Sentiment: Stamp your chosen sentiment on the white punched out label, using Merry Merlot ink. To make the white label stand out more on the card front, take the Merry Merlot matching punched out label and cut in half horizontally, then adhere to the back of your white sentiment label, offsetting it by a couple of mm top and bottom.

10.Adhere the sentiment label to the front bottom right of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

11. Affix the two Merry Merlot birds, either both on the card front, or on the front and one inside, on the stamped tree.

12. Affix the three Pearls Basics Jewels to the front of the card.

Centre Step Festive Easel Card

SUPPLIES:

Stamps: Tidings & Trimmings, Sparkle of the Season

Dies: Christmas Trimmings Dies

Cardstock: Evening Evergreen, Sahara Sand, Basic White

Designer Series Paper: Tidings of Christmas

Ink: Versamark

MEASUREMENTS:

Evening Evergreen 29cm x 14.9cm

Cut and scored as per diagram below

DSP 1x 9.3 x 7.7cm, 1x 2.2cm x 14.4cm and 2x 2.2cm x 7.7.7cm

Basic White 1 x 5.5cm x 14.4cm

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cut and score the Evening Evergreen base as per the diagram below

2. Gently fold the score lines so that all are mountain folds except the 5cm one which is a valley fold. It should look like this

Centre Step Easel Card base (740 x 400 px)

3. Adhere the 2×2.2cm x 7.7cm pieces of DSP on the sides between the mountain and valley folds

4. Adhere the 9.3cm x 7.7cm piece of DSP to the center front (behind where the star will go)

5. Stamp your greeting in Versamark and heat emboss with gold embossing powder. If you don’t have this then stamp in Black ink. Or stamp on a thin piece of Sahara Sand or Basic White and add to the card with dimensionals or glue straight on.

6. Adhere the gold foil star to the Sahara Sand die-cut star using liquid glue. We have included a Wonderful Snowflake you can incorporate behind the gold or Sahara star if you wish. Or use it on another project.

Star Close up

7. Weave ribbon and begin to unravel it with the tip of your scissors. You want to pull out the lengths of straight thread. Make a pile of them trying to keep the ends even. Then add 2 of the 10cm pieces of Gray Granite or White Bakers Twine.

8. Take the 3rd length of bakers twine and tie it around the bundle of threads in the center. Once this is secured you can use your scissors to tease out the threads of the bakers twine as well.

9. Adhere to the center back of the star using tape. Put dimensionals on the back of the star avoiding getting any threads caught then place into the center of the DSP layer.

10. Now you can trim the threads so you can read the sentiment and to tidy them up. I trimmed in small groups so they’re not cut straight across as they splay out to the sides a bit.

11. Adhere the 2.2cm x 14.4cm piece of DSP to the inside on the inner part with a small even border around. Then adhere the Basic White inner up to the DSP and with an even gap around as well.

12. Adhere 2 gold holly leaves in different directions in the center of the DSP using liquid glue or glue dots. Then place the 3rd one on a small dimensional angled so the front edge of the card will be held against it when on display.
